About Happy Herbivore
I’ve been a vegan since 2006. After serious health scare in my early 20s, I decided to get healthy. (Read: no more chicken ranch pizza at 2 a.m. after a long night of beer and jello shots). I saw vegetarianism as a way to help me make better food choices. I’d been a vegetarian for most of my life so it wasn’t anything “new” to me. I’d heard about veganism but thought, “geez, that seems so extreme!”
